"We were lucky, we happened upon an accelerant named Rudy Bleu. Rudy was planning to host an event for mariconcollective, a group of queer Chicano/Latino artists with punk roots. Maricon Collective took the video making part of the project and ran with it, pulling in volunteers to help with scheduling, location scouting, hair and make-up, food, people to make guest appearances, pretty much whatever we needed.
